Single-Leg Balance Eyes Closed
Intermediate
About This Exercise
A proprioception-focused single-leg balance drill that removes visual input to increase balance demand.
1Setup
Stand tall on one foot near a stable support you can touch if needed. Set the ribs over the pelvis and find a quiet foot tripod before closing the eyes.
2Execution
Hold the single-leg stance for the prescribed time with eyes closed or softly shut. Regain balance with light support if needed, then continue or switch sides.
Pro Tips
- Stand near support so the drill stays safe
- Keep the foot active without gripping the floor aggressively
- Open the eyes briefly if balance becomes unsafe
- Use a shorter hold before progressing the time
