About This Exercise

A wall-supported shoulder mobility drill for scapular control, overhead range, and postural awareness.

1Setup

Stand with the back near a wall, feet slightly forward, ribs down, and arms against or near the wall in a goalpost shape.

2Execution

Slide the arms upward and downward as far as you can control without flaring the ribs or shrugging hard. Keep contact with the wall where your mobility allows.

Pro Tips

  • Keep the ribs down as the arms move
  • Use the available range instead of forcing wall contact
  • Move slowly enough to feel the shoulder blades glide
  • Stop before shoulder pinch or numbness
