Gentle Rotation with Club
Beginner
About This Exercise
A low-intensity golf-specific rotation drill that rehearses controlled trunk and hip turn using a club as a light guide.
1Setup
Stand in an athletic golf posture holding a club across the shoulders or lightly in front of the body. Keep feet grounded and ribs stacked over the pelvis.
2Execution
Rotate gently to one side within a comfortable range, return to center, then rotate to the other side. Keep the tempo smooth and avoid chasing speed.
Pro Tips
- Keep the rotation easy and controlled
- Let the hips and trunk turn together without forcing the low back
- Use the club as a guide, not as resistance
- Stay inside a range that feels repeatable
